On Monday, March 3, 2025 the office of the Vice-President (Research and Innovation) and office of the Vice-Provost (Indigenous Programming & Research) will be hosting an Indigenous Research Symposium at Lister Conference Centre.

This symposium will focus on the importance of the Indigenous Research Life Cycle. Topics include: Pre-Engagement (Community relationship building, co-creating research with communities), Indigenous Data Sovereignty (Indigenous control of data, sovereignty principles) and Publishing & Dissemination (Accessibility, Cultural protocols, empowering communities).
